Step 1: Ensure CusRev Plugin Is Installed and Activated
Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to “Plugins”, “Installed Plugins.” Verify that Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin is installed and activated. If it is not installed, install and activate as needed by going to “Plugins”, “Add New.”, then searching for “CusRev” and clicking “Install Now” followed by “Activate.”
Step 2: Access CusRev Settings for Review Reminders
Go to your WordPress dashboard. Click on the “Reviews” page, then click on the “Settings” page (this is where the CusRev plugin’s settings are located).
In the settings, locate the “Review Reminder” and “Emails” tabs. Here, you’ll find various options to configure and customize your review reminder emails.
Next, click on the “Emails” tab and then click on the “Manage” button next to the“Review Reminder” template.
Step 3: Customize the Email Subject and Message Content
Let’s first edit the email subject line. You’ll see an option for “Email Subject”. Customize the subject line to make it more engaging and relevant to your brand. A subject line like “We’d Love Your Feedback on Your Recent Purchase!” or “Help Us Improve by Leaving a Review!” can be more effective than a generic message.
Next, let’s customize the email body. In the “Email Body” text box where you can customize the message that your customers will receive. Use variables like {customer_name} to personalize the email. You can also add branded language, highlight the benefits of leaving a review (like helping other customers), and encourage them to add photos or detailed feedback.
If you’re familiar with HTML, you can switch to the text mode and use HTML tags within the email body to format text (such as bold or italics), add images, or include links that lead back to specific pages on your website. For example, you could use “b” tags to make text bold.
Step 4: Add Custom Branding Elements
If you have a Pro version of the Customer Reviews plugin, it is easy to make the reminder email more visually appealing and consistent with your brand by adding your company logo at the top of the message.
First, make sure that the Pro add-on is installed. Next, navigate back to the “Emails” tab and the “Review Reminder” template. Click on the “Customize” button to access the advanced email editor. Here, you can upload and insert the logo image using the “Insert” menu.
You can use the advanced email editor to make further adjustments to colors and fonts without having to know how to write HTML code. 
Step 5: Test the Email Template
It is very important to send a test email to yourself to verify that it looks good. This step lets you see how the email will appear in various email clients (Gmail, Outlook, mobile apps, etc.), allowing you to make any necessary adjustments for optimal display.
Use the “Send test” field on the page with the Review Reminder email template settings to send a test email. Simply enter your own email in that field and click on the “Send Test” button.
